Christina Lynne

What Drives Christina Lynne

Writing is where Christina Lynne feels whole. It is the place where she becomes her truest self—free, authentic, and deeply connected to her purpose. While not everyone can write, Christina has always known, deep down, that storytelling is who she is.

Her love for stories began in childhood, writing short tales alongside her best friend, Melissa. Although encouragement from teachers sparked early confidence, adulthood brought responsibilities that pushed creativity aside. Like many, Christina followed a practical path—building a career, earning a degree, and finding success in the corporate world. But life, as it often does, had other plans.

Divorce, leaving the farm she loved, the loss of a treasured career, and the devastating death of her best friend all collided within a short period of time. Grief, guilt, and depression followed, along with an overwhelming writer’s block that lingered for years. It was during this darkest chapter that writing quietly waited for her return.

Healing began through faith, spirituality, and an unexpected connection with the Good Vibe Tribe community. Christina discovered that spirituality and Christianity could coexist, and that healing often comes when we are brave enough to face our pain. That healing opened the door for 13 Miles North—a deeply personal, cathartic novel inspired by the most difficult season of her adult life. Writing it transformed her mess into a message.

The response from readers fueled her forward. Requests for more led to Cecil’s Story, expanding on beloved characters from 13 Miles North. The Adventures of the Misfit Crew followed, drawing from Christina’s childhood in small-town South Dakota—a collection of stories filled with humor, heart, and the lasting bonds of friendship. The Rusty Kitten, a Christian children’s book, carries a message close to her heart: that being different is not a flaw, but a gift perfectly designed by God.

Christina’s work-in-progress, Second Chance in One Horse, steps slightly outside her comfort zone into a semi-romantic story filled with drama, hope, and the idea of love as it should have been.

What drives Christina Lynne is lived experience—loss, resilience, faith, and healing. She writes as she speaks, with simplicity and heart, creating stories for readers who have loved deeply, lost painfully, and are searching for hope on the other side. Writing didn’t just give Christina her voice back—it gave her back herself.

Designer/Craftsman & Wisp of Woods

Working with wood appeals to me because it is an approachable way to make useful and beautiful objects. Early in my woodworking journey, I read many instructive and inspirational books written about the pioneers of the studio movement. I also read about the work of early industrial designers. From this study, I developed a desire to produce unpretentious work using sensitive methods.

I enjoy being a student of the craft. As an engineer and a design nerd, I borrow construction and design details for my work from many sources. I always strive to let God's handiwork take center stage. All the decisions I make need to serve nature's amazing artistry.

My favorite part of the process is discovering the perfect "shape within a shape" for each part of a project. This means lots of time is spent staring at boards in the shop. These still and silent moments are necessary.

I've recently added leather work to my arsenal of skills. Leather is also a natural material that is inherently beautiful. Like wood, it develops a patina through use. I'm really excited about exploring how wood, leather (and perhaps other natural materials) work together!

The goal for all my pieces Is the craft something that will endure, from both a construction and design standpoint. Something that is both useful and beautiful. Something that will bring a smile to your face, every time you see it.

John of My Little Rock Shop

My journey began at the young age of three . My uncle started me out with collecting Lake Superior agates. Since then I have been nature all the way. I really enjoy finding new beautiful rocks, crystals and minerals for others to enjoy. After 43 years here I am.

Mallen of Stones, Runes and Thunderstorms

I enjoy making things. I have always created art, and creating it for others has been a joy. Its also like a kind of therapy for me. I'll never stop making art. Miniatures is my specialty, tiny creations to jewelry.

Mary Anne Weston

iDesign Artistry Now

My artistic journey was awakened in March 2021 after a life-altering battle with COVID brought me face-to-face with my own fragility. Inspired by my daughter’s unwavering presence, I rediscovered the creative spirit that had always lived within me, first through poetry, short stories, and song. Raised in a coastal Southern California town, my childhood was shaped by the rhythm of the ocean and the quiet power of nature. After losing my mother, I moved to the mountains with my father and younger brother, where the land became both refuge and teacher. When my father passed just three years later, I remained rooted there, developing a deep connection to the earth that continues to influence every piece I create.

My work later blossomed through abstract paint pouring, resin art, and wood burning, allowing me to transform emotion into functional art such as clocks, Lazy Susans, tumblers, and trinket boxes. Guided by intuition, energy, and spiritual flow, I embrace the beauty of unpredictability in each piece. In March 2025, the loss of my younger brother brought profound grief, yet art became my lifeline and path toward healing. Life’s mysterious timing also reunited me with my childhood sweetheart after 45 years apart, reminding me that love can return in unexpected ways. With the support of my husband, daughter, and family, I continue to channel lived experience, emotion, and universal energy into art that is deeply personal, vibrant, and filled with meaning.

Our origin story

Good Vibe Tribe Creators began when a local group of creatives and spiritual practitioners recognized a need in Brookings for a dedicated space that combined intentional retail with education and services. Beginning as pop-ups and market booths showcasing crystals, handmade jewelry, and tarot readings, the community response was clear: people wanted a reliable, inclusive space where they could learn and purchase authentic metaphysical goods. In 2022, with that support and a vision for a community-centered shop, we secured our storefront at 331 34th Avenue and expanded our offerings to include readings, astrology consultations, workshops, and a curated marketplace for local artists.

How we support local artists and creators

Good Vibe Tribe Creators actively sources products from Brookings-area and nearby creators. We host maker nights, provide shelf and consignment space for artisan goods, and feature local creators in pop-up events. By supporting local artisans, we help strengthen the community economy and provide shoppers with unique, meaningful pieces that carry personal and local significance.

Why ethical sourcing matters to us

Crystals and metaphysical items are part of larger ecosystems that involve mining, labor, and environmental impact. We prioritize relationships with suppliers who are as transparent as possible about origins and ethical practices. When true traceability isn't available, our team evaluates vendors on best practices and shares what we know with customers so they can make informed decisions.

Our approach to serving customers

We emphasize listening and education. Whether shopping for your first crystal or seeking an in-depth astrology consult, our staff provides thoughtful recommendations and honest guidance. We aim to demystify practices while preserving their sacredness — helping you integrate meaningful rituals into everyday life without pressure or dogma.

Community programming and education

One of our core aims since 2022 has been to foster ongoing education. Classes cover topics such as:
